Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI)
Magnetic flux leakage detection to examine tubes on both external and internal surfaces.
Service Overview
Magnetic flux leakage detection to examine tubes on both external and internal surfaces.
- Certified inspectors to international standards.
- Full compliance with each project's specifications.
- Rapid response, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
How We Work
Methodology, scope and coverage of the service of Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI).
Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI) uses magnetic flux leakage detection equipment to examine the tube on both the external and internal surfaces.
How it works
The method induces a magnetic field in the material; in the presence of discontinuities, a flux leakage occurs which is picked up by sensors, allowing thickness loss, corrosion and wall defects to be located.
Applications
- Production and casing tubes (casing and tubing)
- Assessment of internal and external corrosion
- Detection of discontinuities in ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic materials
